A 17-year-old woman (who wishes to remain anonymous), was on the beach at Caswell, Swansea looking up the beach in a northerly direction towards what was then, the Caswell Bay Hotel.

She noticed a little to the left of the hotel but at about the height of the normal operating height of a helicopter, a bright white light which was stationary in the sky. She could not make out a shape or size and it made no noise. She observed this odd phenomena for about a minute, before it suddenly took off at a very

fast speed in a vertical direction disappearing out of sight.
