MAWDDACH ESTUARY

Sighting,UFO,Lights

11 PM - 11.30 PM. Clear sky.

Reyna Rushton (23) and Timothy Tunnicliffe saw six whitish-yellow lights travelling above the Mawddach Estuary towards the Cader Idris range of mountains: the lights in fact traversed the sky from NW to SE, disappearing in the approximate position of Jupiter low in the south-east.

They were around first magnitude and appeared singly at roughly five-minute intervals except for two which seemed rather brighter and travelled closer together. Brightness was constant: each light moved at approximately the same speed - an apparently slow movement as each was in view for several minutes.

The lights seemed to move in a straight line. In this particular report the lights were seen against a clear sky hence height estimation was difficult, but reports of similar lights below cloud level have been made elsewhere.
