On Friday night, an unusual sight was visible in the sky above Pentre.
The appearance of lights at intervals led some prophets to think of the end of the world, while others of a more modern frame of mind thought of aeroplanes and balloons.
As yet, no definite information can be obtained as to the cause of the scare.
