BENTON CASTLE, PEMBROKESHIRE

Sighting,UFO,Lights

Clear night.

Mrs Betty Sullivan, of Benton Castle, on the River Cleddau was walking out of the front door of her home:

"It was a dark night. I walked out of the lighted hall and this light came across and I couldn't have missed it. there was no sound - no port or starboard lights - and I thought, 'What an extraordinary aeroplane!' My first reaction was 'No noise - where's the noise?' It was dead silent."

It was moving horizontally.

"The light was peculiar - it is difficult to describe.... it was sort of pulsating. Pulsating and glittering. It was quite large. I rushed off to get the field-glasses as soon as it had gone down to Lawrenny, in the hope that it was coming back, but there was not a sign."

Duration of sighting: about 45 seconds.
