After arriving back after a 5hr search in the Irish sea on Saturday night Porthdinllaen lifeboat men said they could not find anything to account for a mysterious light reported 6 miles off whistling sun, north east of aberdaron.

Bus passengers travelling from Aberdaron to Nefyn told Porthdinllaen coast guard they had seen a sheet of flame enveloped with thick black smoke falling into the sea.
