"Returning home from Pontyclun along the A473 my wife and I decided to call into Tesco in Upper Boat for a few items. As it was just after 5 o'clock the traffic was stop/start as we entered the Industrial Estate area. As we were waiting in traffic near the Nissan and Vauxhall dealers on the A4054, Cardiff Road, we observed a strange looking stationary light to our south-west, quite low in the sky and estimated as being somewhere near Efail Isaf. It appeared to be a stationary light, constantly changing colour between white and green.

After watching it for about 30 seconds, it suddenly and unexpectantly extinguished. It was a solitary stationary light and not a spotlight producing a beam as found on police helicopters."
