Amanda Davis was in her kitchen, at her sink and looked out of her west-facing window to see a red ball of light approaching the house:

"I was stunned, but eventually went outside thinking I would hear engine noise if it was something mechanical."

There was no noise and she carried on watching it as it continued west. When it reached hills about two miles distant it shot up vertically at high speed, disappearing from sight.
