Philip Warren Harris, of Oreston, Thornton, Milford, described how he saw an object over the Gulf Oil Refinery [Waterston] at 10.15 PM. The thing that caught his attention was the erratic course the object was taking. He described the rapid, wavy track as 'like a cardiograph'.

There was no sound, he says, and it was definitely not a plane. He had binoculars trained on the object which was shaped 'between an egg and a rugby ball' and seemed large in size. After five minutes the thing just disappeared.
