Mike was driving a car through the countryside near Llanfair Caereinion with a passenger on board, and both saw a huge white cylinder-like object in the sky. It was rounded with flat ends and was estimated at being 30 feet in length and 10 feet in diameter. The object was glowing, fluorescent and stood out well against the light blue sky.

The witnesses watched the object as it moved slowly, for about 4 seconds, and then it turned about 45 degrees when it increased in speed.

After it had turned, black squares (possibly windowed) along its sides were visible. The object picked up speed and flew off in the direction of the Berwyn Mountains area.
