Jack Burns (59) was with his daughter who was driving a car at Garth Bank, Builth Wells, when they saw a very bright red light in a circle "with something around it." He made her stop the car near their house and they got out to look at it. A neighbour, Timmy Richards was also looking at the object.

Timmy asked him what he thought it was. Jack replied, "What do you think it is?" The object remained stationary for about 5 minutes when his daughter tried to take a photo of it with her mobile phone, but it would not work. It then moved slowly on a horizontal path then went straight up into the sky.

"Within seconds all you could see was a pin-size dot. I've never seen anything move so fast."
